Description

Animated Guard

“It still bows at the start of the dance. Then it cuts down anyone who does not belong.”

The Animated Guard is an empty suit of noble armor left to patrol the halls of the Crimson Waltz long after its masters lost their minds. It glides through decaying ballrooms with silent purpose, obeying old commands no living servant remembers. In a castle where etiquette and slaughter have blurred together, it stands watch without rest.

  • An Animated Guard mistakes the party for uninvited guests and moves to expel them with deadly force.

  • One of the castle’s sealed wings can only be opened by taking the command sigil from a patrolling guard.

  • A vampire lord’s old orders still bind the guards, and someone must change them before the next massacre begins.

You are summoned to The Crimson Waltz.

Come in splendor, come in silence, and pray your scent does not awaken the hungriest guests.

When the music begins, smile… and do not bleed.
