“He swung once. The screaming came from his shadow.”
Clad in armor shaped like ribs, the Death Giant strides through Orcus’s battlefields with a towering scythe. He gathers the souls of those he cuts down, binding them beneath his cloak to feed his strength. A skeletal attendant perches upon his shoulder, pointing out survivors whenever the slaughter leaves him searching.
The giant carries a fallen commander’s soul. The party must free it to learn where the legion will strike.
His skeletal attendant secretly offers to betray him in exchange for its original body.
A fortress holds against the undead, but the Death Giant approaches under cover of their assault.

“You will beg me to spare your children. I will let you hear them beg for you.
Then I will raise you together... You will know their faces. You will feel their bones break beneath your hands.
And when you have torn apart everything you ever loved, I will give you back your mind. Just long enough to understand what your hands have done. Then I will raise them again.”
- Orcus, the Bone Tyrant.
