Mavren Vayne — The Hexed
“Every curse in this castle has a voice. Mine simply learned how to answer back.”
Mavren Vayne is a dhampir warlock who walks the crumbling halls of the Crimson Waltz with cold grace and dangerous restraint. Marked by dark pacts and half-buried hunger, he studies the castle’s madness as much as he fights it. Among the few who can endure its whispers without breaking, Mavren is both scholar and weapon.
Mavren asks the party to recover a sealed relic before the castle’s vampires use it to awaken an older curse.
He believes one of the ballroom’s undead nobles is bound to the same dark power that marked him.
Mavren offers to guide the party through the castle’s haunted chambers, but something in the walls already knows his name.
