Myconid Centaur
“It grew where a body was buried and a prayer was left unfinished.”
The Myconid Centaur stands tall and eerily still, its lean equine body carrying a half-human torso shaped from pale fungal flesh and rootlike growth. A crown of shelf-like spores rises from its head, and the staff in its hand looks grown rather than carved. It does not move like a beast. It moves like something listening.
Plot Hooks
- A trail of strange mushrooms marks the path to an old graveyard, and anyone who follows it hears a voice asking to be led home.
- The Myconid Centaur offers healing spores to a sick village, but those cured begin walking into the woods at night.
- A scholar believes the creature guards a buried laboratory where flesh and fungus were first joined on purpose.
