Star Spawn are CR 5–17 cosmic aberrations that serve Elder Evils, creatures built for far realm arcs, Lovecraftian horror campaigns, and any session where the party has been asking what is behind the rifts. Use it as an advanced creature in a far realm incursion, a cultist's summoned guard, or the encounter that confirms the Elder Evil the party has been investigating has an active presence in the material world.
