Bloodwretched
“Some bloodlines are hidden out of shame. This one was hidden because it kept whispering back.”
The Bloodwretched is the Crimson Waltz’s most carefully concealed disgrace, born from vampiric blood corrupted by something far older. Its body has twisted beneath the influence of an elder presence, leaving little of the noble creature it once was. The court keeps it buried beneath the castle, where even the other vampires pretend not to hear it calling.
The party discovers the Bloodwretched chained beneath the castle, still recognized as kin by the Old One.
Its dreams begin infecting guests with visions of something vast sleeping beyond the stars.
A faction of vampires wants to free the creature, believing its corrupted blood can grant them power beyond undeath.
